Hello!
My name is Iman Moridi, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the beautiful state of California. My professional license number is LMFT No: 129318.
Over the past decade, I have worked extensively with adults who are struggling with various mental illnesses, substance use problems, and a wide range of complex emotional challenges. My practice focuses on helping individuals, couples, families, and children from diverse cultural backgrounds to strengthen personal and interpersonal relationships, navigate the difficult processes of grief and loss, manage anxiety and depression effectively, and heal from trauma. I strive to empower my clients to make autonomous decisions, improve their overall well-being, and enhance their performance at work, school, and in their daily lives.
While theory and technique guide the therapist in supporting clients toward their treatment goals, I firmly believe that human love and the authentic presence of the therapist are two essential elements that significantly shape the therapeutic relationship in a meaningful way—helping clients relieve their emotional pain and uncover their true potential as individuals.
My Approach:
I am truly dedicated to providing exceptional quality care and personalized support to all of my clients.
As a trained structural family therapist who is deeply grounded in systems theory, my approach is integrative and highly client-centered. I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy—tailoring my interventions to effectively meet each client's unique and specific needs.
About my EMDR training and education:
I received my EMDR training through an EMDRIA‑approved training program and continue to receive supervision and consultation from an EMDRIA‑certified consultant and practitioner. I am actively completing the remaining requirements toward EMDRIA Certification, including advanced consultation and competency development.
